Winding down in a Warm Climate

What to know

The National Park is arguably the most fascinating and breath taking National Park that is located in South America. The Patagonian Mountains have been featured in pictures and magazines numerous times. Another thing that you should know about the area is that if you plan on sleeping overnight, make sure that your tent is wind resistant. Hiking is extremely popular in this area because some of the views have to be seen in person in order to be truly appreciated. The size and magnitude of the mountains are truly breath taking. There is nothing more romantic than climbing to the top of trails and enjoying the 360 degree views with your significant other.

What to do

One of the things that you need to do is go hiking or walking on one of the trails. The Emerald forests are full of rivers that make you feel relaxed. There is something soothing about the soft trickling of water down the rivers. Another thing that you can do while you are here is go horseback riding. This is a great option for someone who wants to see all of the scenes, without having to do all of the hiking.

When to go

November through February because the weather tends to be just right. However, as mentioned below- December is beautiful but the crowds get too big.

When to not go

December because the crowds are out of control considering both the tourists and the locals like to vacation during this time of the year.

What to avoid

Avoid spending all of your time on the mountain. There are a lot of other fun activities that you can enjoy also.

Culture shock

Donít be surprised if the cost of admittance is more or less than the price that you paid last time you were here. During the peak season, the cost is around 20$ USD and when things are a little less busy, it costs around 10$ USD to get in.
