Things to knowWhen it comes to traveling to Tobago, you will be able to go via oat or air plane. And once you get there, there are plenty of ways for you to get around. One of those ways is to take a scenic bicycle ride. If you are a beginner bicyclist, you should stay around the southwestern part of Tobago. It has a relatively small amount of hills and elevation changes, which will make it a pretty easy ride. And if you are an advanced cyclist, there are tougher trails there are located in the northern section.
What to doThere is no doubt that you will have to spend some serious time outdoors when you are visiting Tobago. During the coldest months of the year, the temperature wonít drop below 70 degrees. This weather makes it perfect for visiting the beach, walking in the sand, going for a bike ride, and much more. One of the most unique things that you can do in Tobago is watching some goat racing. Another special thing to do in this location is to go bird watching.
When to goBecause the weather stays relatively warm all year round, it is always a good time to visit the island. You should visit in September if you want to go to the Carnival. Sometimes the Carnival is also referred to as Tobago Fest. December through May is the most popular time for tourists to come visit.
What to not doWhile you are visiting, you should definitely not disrespect the wild life or rain forest. One of the ways to do this is by picking up your trash and taking the necessary precautions to prevent fires. Tobago takes preserving their rain forest seriously and it is what makes the location so magical.
When to not goIf you are going to this destination in order to enjoy their sizzling hot temperatures, you might want to reconsider going in July because it is the coldest month.
Culture shockOne of the unique things about the culture in Tobago is that they play calypso music. This genre of music originated on this island, and was made famous when Love's String Band recorded a song in the early 1900's.
