Perfect shoreline getaway
Not many people might think of Vancouver, Canada as a premiere honeymoon destination, but the fact that Bravo has launched the Real Housewives brand out of Vancouver is enough to say to the rest of the world that this is a cosmopolitan city to keep an eye on. Essentially Vancouver is the Canadian version of Seattle, minus the Space Needle, and has just as many attractions and things to discover. Some however consider this city so sleek that it is even the Northern Hollywood to others, thatís just how hot Vancouver has become today. And as well, itís not just hip, it is another city surrounded by gorgeous woodlands, mountains, and yet still offers the perfect shoreline getaway for todayís sophisticated and chic honeymooners. In addition to the Real Housewives, it has also been home to the filming of The Twilight Saga: Eclipse, so you may see a few of your favorite movie landmarks as well while you are here!
When to GoVancouver has a very similar climate to Seattle, and this makes the best time to visit in the Spring between March and May and in the fall between September and November. Here you will find the best rates of resorts and accommodations, and the weather is gorgeous and milder. Summer is popular as well with temperatures in the mid 80ís Fahrenheit, but it is a little busier this time of year and if some ambience and quiet is what you are after the slower season may be more up your alley. Of course, if skiing is on your agenda, you will love Vancouverís winter climate.
What to DoBetween world class skiing, world class cuisine, and world class shopping, you will not be short of things to do in Vancouver. You want to check out the Asian restaurant Tojoís if you like asian food as the chef there is one of the only master chefís in the world and his food is beyond compare. For the adventure seekers, the Capilano Suspension Bridge will leave you hanging on each otherís words for an above ground hike, and Stanley Park is a stunning Canadian version of New Yorkís Central Park. Additionally there are attractions and museums galore for the history or art buffís such as the Museum of Anthropology and the Vancouver Art Gallery. And of course if you just want some quiet beach time with your honey, there is plenty of that available during the summer months.
